On July 21, Grand Central Terminal will host the Thai SELECT Festival, a free event celebrating Thai cuisine organized by Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Vanderbilt Hall will showcase 15 of New York City's top Thai restaurants, all of which hold the official Thai SELECT designation. This certification, awarded by the Ministry of Commerce of the Royal Thai Government, ensures the authenticity of the food served. Participating restaurants include Wayla, Chalong, Soothr, Nuar, Phranakhon, Untable, and Lalyn, known for their exceptional Thai dishes.
In addition to food samples, the festival will feature live performances and hands-on cultural experiences, including a Thai-themed BINGO activity. Notable Thai actors Mile Phakphum Romsaithong and Apo Nattawin Wattanagitiphat will make special appearances throughout the day. While entry to the festival is free, attendees can purchase food and drinks from the various vendors, making it a perfect opportunity to satisfy summer cravings for Thai cuisine.
