New Dining Destinations in Los Angeles for July 2026

As the summer heat settles in, Los Angeles is buzzing with new restaurant openings that promise to enhance the city's vibrant dining scene. This July, several noteworthy establishments are making their debut, each bringing unique flavors and experiences to Angelenos.

CineOpera has taken over the former LA Cha Cha Chá location in the Arts District, offering a blend of Latin and Italian cuisine in a community-focused setting. This innovative venue features a bottle shop, a pastry counter, and a large LED screen for movie viewings, aiming to serve as a gathering place for locals. Signature dishes include bucatini alle vongole and crispy fritto misto, appealing to a diverse clientele.

In Calabasas, Matū is expanding its reach with a new location dedicated to its famous wagyu cheesesteak sandwiches. The menu centers around the Matū Philly Cheesesteak, crafted from premium grass-fed wagyu beef, grilled onions, and roasted peppers, all served on a housemade sesame roll. Accompanying sides include beef tallow-fried potato chips and Mexican Coke, ensuring a satisfying meal.

The iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall is set to welcome a third outpost of La Nena Cantina, which specializes in coastal Mexican fare. This new location will offer beloved dishes such as tableside guacamole and handmade tortillas, along with unique items like mole negro and hamachi tiradito. The restaurant aims to enhance the concert-going experience with rotating specials tailored to specific performances.

Bobo Thai is bringing a fresh concept to Silver Lake with a focus on pad Thai, featuring twelve different variations of the dish. In addition to the noodle offerings, the restaurant will serve Bangkok-style skewers and street food-inspired bites. Dessert options will include plant-based treats in collaboration with Awan, a local Indonesian ice cream shop.

Finally, Venice has a new neighborhood market and cafe, Bodega & Palms, which has transformed a century-old convenience store into a vibrant community hub. The married owners, Kaila and Philip Neuville, offer a variety of grab-and-go items sourced from local vendors, including focaccia sandwiches, pastries, and breakfast burritos. Customers are encouraged to suggest additional items to enhance the market's offerings, fostering a sense of community involvement.

These new openings reflect the dynamic culinary landscape of Los Angeles, showcasing a blend of innovation and tradition that continues to attract food lovers from all walks of life.
