As part of the Gratify Group, which also manages the South Korean pizza chain Pizza Maru, Seoul Yummy has made a significant impact on the local food culture, particularly with its signature dishes like army stew, cheese pot, and hot plate offerings.

He noted that the closure aligns with the mall's ongoing asset enhancement initiative, making it a strategic time to sunset the brand. Lau assured that employees affected by the closure will be transferred to other brands within the Gratify Group, ensuring continuity of employment for staff members.
