Ramen HISA Opens in Dubai, Showcasing Premium Japanese Ingredients

In May 2026, Ramen HISA will open its doors in the Opera House area of Dubai, specializing in premium ramen crafted from Japan's finest ingredients. The restaurant's menu is curated by Executive Chef Toshio Ueda, who also oversees the high-end TakaHisa Japanese Restaurant in Dubai.

Ramen HISA will leverage TakaHisa's strengths, sourcing top-quality ingredients such as tuna from Yamazaki, Wagyu beef from Ozaki, and fugu, all of which are typically reserved for high-end sushi and kaiseki restaurants. The restaurant emphasizes a philosophy of utilizing every part of the ingredient, extracting rich flavors from fish bones and scraps to create a flavorful broth that reflects the essence of Japanese culinary traditions.

The menu will feature a variety of ramen dishes, each highlighting the unique characteristics of the ingredients. For instance, the tuna ramen will showcase a clear, golden broth made from tuna bones and kelp, while the fugu ramen will feature a delicate broth that captures the essence of the fugu fish. The restaurant prides itself on its handmade noodles, developed to complement the various broths, ensuring a harmonious balance of flavors in each bowl.

With a price range of AED 350 to 500 (approximately 14,000 to 20,000 yen), Ramen HISA offers a luxurious dining experience that has already garnered attention from food enthusiasts and influencers even before its opening. The restaurant also features a sommelier, Tomokazu Abe, who is certified by the Japan Sommelier Association. He will provide wine pairings to enhance the dining experience, including rare Japanese sake and champagne.

Located at the foot of the Burj Khalifa, Ramen HISA is designed to attract both local and international guests, featuring a traditional Japanese aesthetic with tatami and shoji elements. The restaurant aims to provide a unique culinary experience that combines the artistry of Japanese cuisine with the comfort of ramen, making it a standout addition to Dubai's dining scene.

In addition to ramen, Ramen HISA will offer side dishes like gyoza made with Ozaki beef, ensuring a complete and satisfying meal for guests. This new establishment promises to deliver an exceptional ramen experience that reflects the high standards of Japanese culinary excellence.
