Six New Asian Restaurants Join London's Michelin Guide in September 2026
In September 2026, the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland welcomed six new restaurants from London, highlighting the city’s vibrant culinary landscape. Among these, a standout is a new omakase restaurant that has taken over the space previously occupied by the Michelin-starred Taku. Under the guidance of executive chef Shogo Amamoto, this intimate 16-seat venue offers a choice between two indulgent omakase menus, featuring 17 courses for £180 or an extravagant 22-course experience for £380, with Spanish tuna noted as a highlight.
Another notable addition is the historic Simpson’s, a dining room that dates back to 1828. Recently revitalized by new owner Jeremy King, Simpson’s reopened with a menu that celebrates classic British dishes, creating an atmosphere that combines tradition with modern dining.
