Food Japan 2026: Showcasing Japanese Culinary Heritage in ASEAN

Food Japan 2026, the leading exhibition for Japanese food and beverage (F&B) products in ASEAN, has officially commenced its 14th edition. Taking place over three days, this event serves as a vital platform for connecting Japanese producers with buyers across the region, while also showcasing Japan's rich culinary heritage and innovative F&B solutions. This year, the exhibition features 188 exhibitors from 39 prefectures, including a diverse range of products tailored for the foodservice, hospitality, retail, wholesale, and consumer markets.

Visitors to Food Japan 2026 can explore prefectural and themed pavilions that highlight the unique flavors and specialties from various regions of Japan. Notable participants include representatives from Tokachi (Hokkaido), Aomori, Tohoku, Ibaraki, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Fukui, Himeji (Hyogo), Sakaiminato (Tottori), Kagawa, Ehime, and Fukuoka, as well as organizations like the Japan Soy Sauce Association and the Japan Dairy Industry Association. This year’s exhibition also introduces new categories that reflect changing consumer demands, such as a dedicated focus on pet food products and an emphasis on halal-certified options to cater to the dietary preferences of consumers in Southeast Asia.

The exhibition not only showcases products but also offers interactive experiences, including tastings and live demonstrations. Attendees can participate in B2B meetings with exhibitors, providing valuable networking opportunities. A highlight of the event is the OMAKASE STAGE, which hosts themed masterclasses and educational sessions. Industry professionals can attend a sake masterclass led by an expert and seminars featuring speakers from Japan's leading dairy manufacturers. These activities aim to enhance buyers' knowledge and facilitate connections with Japanese suppliers.

Bridging Culinary Traditions and Business Opportunities in ASEAN

Food Japan 2026 is supported by various organizations, including the Japan Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR), the Embassy of Japan in Singapore, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF). The Singapore Tourism Board has also played a crucial role in supporting the event from its planning stages.

As the exhibition marks its 14th edition, it continues to bridge the culinary traditions of Japan with emerging market opportunities in ASEAN. Food Japan 2026 not only showcases the best of Japanese cuisine but also fosters meaningful business connections between Japanese suppliers and the dynamic F&B market in the region.
